What are Thread Veins?

Telangiectasia, also known as Thread Veins or Spider Veins are small clusters of blue or red veins that sometimes appear on your face or legs that are caused when the valves weaken and lose elasticity so the blood cannot flow back through the veins and enlarge becoming visible at the surface of the skins surface. They’re generally harmless and, unlike trunk varicose veins, do not bulge underneath the skins surface.

What are Cherry Angiomas?

A cherry angioma is a mole-like skin growth made up of small blood vessels, or capillaries. It is the most common type of angioma. Angiomas are benign tumors that result from an overgrowth of capillaries

How are they treated

Thread Vein and Cherry angiomas are treated using an advanced laser technology that targets and destroys the blood vessels responsible for causing the veins and making them visible, causing them to visibly disappear, often immediately. Since the laser targets the blood vessels within the vein, there is minimal or no damage to the outer layer of skin.  Some Bruising and swelling can occur depending on the area being treated and the severity of the veins present.

It is important to note some treatments are not suitable for darker skin tones.  Please contact us for further information.
