What is Botox for Migraines?
Botox for chronic migraines is a specialised licenced treatment using Botulinum Toxin A to help reduce the frequency and severity of headaches and migraine symptoms in adults suffering from chronic migraine.
Unlike cosmetic anti-wrinkle injections, where Botulinum Toxin A is used to relax specific facial muscles to reduce lines and wrinkles, migraine treatment follows a specific medical injection protocol across multiple areas of the head and neck.
At Asthetik London we take time with each client to fully understand their migraine history, symptoms and individual circumstances so that we can assess whether this treatment is suitable for you. The treatment is particularly focused on areas across the forehead, temples, back of the head, neck and shoulders.
Botox for chronic migraine is a preventative treatment and is not intended to stop an individual migraine attack once it has already started.
